This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.

Piñata cookie tutorial
It wouldn’t be a piñata without a candy surprise in the middle! These multi-striped, burro piñata sugar cookies are frosted together in sets of 3’s. The middle cookies have hollow centers so that you can fill them with a secret stash of mini M&M’s. That way, when you break open or bite into the cookie, the M&M’s come spilling out. Just like a real piñata. Olé!
I WANT TO DO THIS. OMG
I WANT I WANTTTTT!!
holy shit
oh my god
Someday…hah…
To suspend flowers in the cubes, work in layers: Fill an ice tray (one that makes large cubes so the ice will last longer) a quarter of the way with water, add flowers facing down, and freeze. Add more water to fill halfway, and freeze. Fill to the top, and freeze again. For ice that’s especially clear, use distilled water that has been boiled and then cooled. This limits impurities and air bubbles, which make ice cloudy. Use only edible flowers, such as orchids, nasturtiums, pansies, and snapdragons, that have been grown to be eaten (to ensure they haven’t been treated with chemicals). (via)

recipe pleaseSure. It’s a really easy (and not so health conscious) recipe for something so delicious.
An entire box of vanilla wafers (the cookies, not the styrofoam-tasting wafers)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts/hazelnuts/any nut you like
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
2 heaping tablespoons of powdered cocoa
1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup brandy (or whatever you’d like)
Grind up an entire box of vanilla wafers. You’ll want them powdery. Most vanilla wafers come in the same 8x11 (-ish) box. Chop the nuts as fine as you want, I prefer to leave mine with a little crunch. It’s not necessary, but I like to toast the nuts. Mix all ingredients and roll the balls in some more powdered sugar (or anything you’d like, coconuts, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar etc.). Leave them out uncovered overnight.
